National Automuseum exhibits special Ferraris

The German National Automuseum – The Loh Collection puts the spotlight on Ferrari with a special exhibition. Both race cars and road cars feature.

The National Automuseum in Ewersbach, Germany, displays parts of Friedhelm Loh’s fabulous car collection. Next to the permanent exhibition, the museum also organises themed, temporary displays. The first one was a Le Mans expo, now the museum has a closer look at Ferrari.

Schumacher F1s

Apart from the road cars, Friedhelm Loh has some very impressive race cars in his collection as well. Regarding Ferrari, you can go see the last Ferrari F1 world champion car to date; Kimi Raikkonen’s 2007 F1-2007. Or the F2004 with which Michael Schumacher won his fifth – successive – world championship crown for Ferrari in 2004. Schumacher took eight victories that season, still Ferrari’s best performance in Formula 1. Lauda, Ickx, Bandini, all Ferrari F1s that are present in this exhibition.

Sportscars

On the sportscar front, the Ferrari 246 SP, the 275-330 P, the Dino 206 S and the 412 P make for terrific viewing, just as is the case with the Mille Miglia Barchetta, the Ferrari 212 that won the 1951 Carrera Panamericana with Piero Taruffi and Luigi Chinetti. On the road car front, there is the traditional modern supercar line-up: 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari. Others have a story of their own to tell, like the Ferrari 250 MM with tailored Hermès interior, made on order for Baron Heini Thyssen’s wife.
