A McLaren F1 was voted as the crowd\u2019s favourite.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yes, this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.concorsodeleganzavilladeste.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Concorso<\/a> winner is a race car. It\u2019s rare, only ten of the 8C 2300 Alfa Romeos received a Spider body from the workshop of Parisian coach builder Joseph Figoni. The first owner, known only as a Mr. Weinberg, ordered it with competition in mind, it has a reinforced chassis and Joseph Figoni created this Spider bodywork for it, one of just ten he made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The car was intended for the 1933 and 1934 Paris \u2013 Nice rallies. In 1935, Count Fran\u00e7ois de Bremont used it on the Grossglockner hill climb. The Alfa survived World War II, hidden in a barn, and was used only occasionally right up until the seventies. It stayed with its owner Henri d\u2019Autichamp for an incredible 77 years, being serviced but otherwise remained untouched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/taziomagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/@mateboerphotography-6795-e1718459021938.jpg\" class=\"mfp-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/taziomagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/@mateboerphotography-6795-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11281 lazyload\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo M\u00e1t\u00e9 Bo\u00e9r<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jury&#8217;s choice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Alfa, currently in the care of a Belgian owner, won the \u2018Cars that the Outside World forgot\u2019 class and wowed the jury for overall Concours victory. It\u2019s a rare occasion seeing an unrestored car win one of the world\u2019s most prestigious Concours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/taziomagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/@mateboerphotography-9016-e1718459669295.jpg\" class=\"mfp-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/taziomagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/@mateboerphotography-9016-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11288 lazyload\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo M\u00e1t\u00e9 Bo\u00e9r<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mille Miglia 1957<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After last year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/taziomagazine.com\/?p=7801\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Le Mans bonanza<\/a>, race cars where a little less popular on the Concours field bordering Lake Como this year. Other entries included the 1922 Alfa Romeo RL Sport, a 1952 Ferrari 225 S Tuboscocca that competed at Sebring in 1953, the 1957 Ferrari 335 S that Wolfgang von Trips drove to second place in the infamous 1957 Mille Miglia and another unrestored racer in the form of a 1928 Bugatti T35 that ran for the works squad that same season.
