Today, we take you behind the scenes. See how, in Rafael Varela’s atelier in Buenos Aires, the cover of Tazio 15 takes shape.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why this magazine takes a bit of time to produce. The cover of each magazine is in reality, a process that can take up to a month. Once the topic is a given, we start brainstorming about what we want to see on the cover. Here is where we really have an advantage over any competitor, as we are completely free to let our imagination run wild. When we say to Rafael we want to see flames coming from the back of the Ferrari F40 GTE at Le Mans, his only reply is: how big do you want these flames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From sketch to reality, it is a painstaking process that inevitably takes up time. But the result has such a wow-factor. I’m always amazed when I see Tazio in the store, it always stands out. It has truly become its own thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nostalgia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That alone, of course, is not the only reason why we opted for a painted cover. We love the arts, and are only too proud that we can show with our cover what a difference an artist like Rafael Varela can make. These covers also remind us of the beautifully painted covers of many magazines from the thirties, pure nostalgia then. Yes, we are old-fashioned, and we take great pride in that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
