This year\u2019s Interclassics car show in Brussels (18 \u2013 20 November) focuses on two main themes. On the one hand, there is the 50 years of BMW Motorsport, on the other hand, there is the 75 years of Ferrari to celebrate. Aren\u2019t those the only reasons you need?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interclassics Brussels<\/a> is the Belgian part of the Interclassics series. The other part is scheduled in Maastricht (Netherlands) from 12 \u2013 15 January. This weekend, Interclassics will take over the Brussels Expo halls, famous for the Brussels motor show. Only now, it\u2019s classic cars only. With both clubs and dealers exposing their automotive jewellery, there is always something surprising to discover on the stands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferrari anniversary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Traditionally, Interclassics opts for some main display themes, like Jacky Ickx last year. This year, the focus could not be more obvious. On the one hand, you have 75 years of Ferrari as a brand to celebrate. The Scuderia Ferrari of course dates back to 1929. But it wasn\u2019t until 1947 that Enzo Ferrari would start producing sports cars under his own name. Some of the cars announced: Ferrari F50, Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari 250 GT SWB and a Ferrari 500 Mondial with Mille Miglia history. The others we will have to discover ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

50 years of M<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second theme is the other big motorsport anniversary we celebrate this year: the 50 years of BMW M(otorsport). In 1972, Jochen Neerpasch started a separate division within BMW, aimed at racing. The division was simply called Motorsport, later shortened to M. To finance the racing activities, M would develop high-performance road-going BMWs as well. The first one was the magical M1, on display in Brussels as well. And with the iconic E30 M3 DTM, Interclassics has the ultimate M touring car lined up too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
