Chopard’s new limited edition: you have to be French to get it

Chopard presented the new Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Edition Limitée France during Rétromobile. It is only for sale in France.

The ‘Edition Limitée France’ says it all. It was created to commemorate the glory of French racing – Le Mans comes to mind – and the participations of French brands and racing drivers in the Mille Miglia. Chopard has a long-standing partnership with the Mille Miglia in its current form. Apart from the Italian brands, the French have been the most successful in the 30 years the original Mille Miglia was held between 1927 and 1957. That said, no French manufacturer has ever won the Mille Miglia overall. But especially in the minor classes, the French always performed well.

The ‘Edition Limitée France’ chronograph performs a subtle play on the classic French ‘tricolore’ theme. Just 100 copies exist, with the number engraved on the back. The case is built in Lucent Steel, 80 per cent recycled.
