Tazio 2, the limited one

For Issue 2, we have also produced a limited edition. Just like Issue 1, which is sold out by the way, we went for a hardcover with a slightly rougher feel to it.

By filling the cover completely with Rafael Varela’s take on our Ford RS200 lead story, we have created a look and feel that no other car magazine has. It’s a painting, with a car magazine inside. At the back, you find another of Rafael’s sketches, referring to the story on the Monaco GP in 1933. This race goes down as one of the ultimate GP races, with Varzi and Tazio Nuvolari battling for the lead for close to 100 laps. You can read all about that race in Issue 2.

30 Numbered copies

Just as with Issue 1, only 30 copies exist. Each copy is numbered and carries the signature of Klaus Ludwig, whose article on his Le Mans-days is a must-read. Ludwig was present at Le Mans in the seventies, eighties and nineties. He drove some epic machines to victory: with the Porsche 935 K3 in 1979, with the Porsche 956 in 1984 and 1985 and he concluded with the Mercedes CLK GTR, even though that was not a success. Ludwig tells us all about his triumphs and failings at Le Mans.
