With Car Week in Monterey, California in full flow, let’s have a closer look at one of the nicest things to see there. It’s the Pebble Beach Concours field on the move in the Tour d’Elegance.

Good thing Peter Singhof knows all the spots. His images of the Tour d’Elegance, the parade the participants at the Pebble Beach Concours are invited to take part in, are once again gorgeous. We are only focusing on the cars with competition history. Suffice it to say, the Concours field is once again of the highest quality imaginable.

250 GTO

With 75 years of Ferrari to celebrate, a lot of attention goes to the Cavallino Rampante. From an early Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta, a 250 GTO – well, several actually – to a 250 TR 59, the list of Ferrari jewellery seems to be near-limitless. That’s not to say we shouldn’t mention the others. Seeing the 1966 Le Mans-winning Ford GT40 MkII on the open road is still something special. The same goes for ‘Old Number 2’, one of the old Bentley Speed Six line-up at Le Mans 1930. This car came second.

100 Years Le Mans

Alfa Romeo’s rich history unfolded itself, with an 8C Monza passing by, an 8C Touring Spider and a TZ2. The winner of the Concours is announced on Sunday. 100 Years of Le Mans (in 2023) is one of the classes, and so is the Alfa Romeo 8C2300. Pebble focuses on the Italian 8V or Otto Vu as well. There is no separate class for Ferrari, but of course the brand is well represented in many of the different classes.
